Audrey Apers

Audrey Apers (she/her, 1991) is a theater maker, director and performer based in Brussels. After studying at the Royal Ballet School in Antwerp and the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, she worked as a dancer for several choreographers in the Netherlands. Between 2018-2020, she was artist in residence at SALLY Dansgezelschap Maastricht, where she created three works, including Labour of Love, which toured the Netherlands. In 2023, she earned her Masters in Theater Directing from RITCS, where she created the performances Gravity is a Regime and Vulcanize Me. The latter was selected for Theater aan Zee 2024 and the Amsterdam Fringe Festival 2024.
Audrey’s work is a playful and existential search for the female body within contemporary neo-liberal fantasy. For her, the stage is a space of experimentation, where micro tragedies and cosmic myths meet, infused with both humor and risk. Besides her own work, she is a guest lecturer at the RITCS and a coach and performer for other creators. In season 2025-2026 she plays in the following performances; 4 Women Getting Sick by RenĂ©e Goethijn and Gaze by Laura Neyskens. She is currently developing her new play Under Your Spell, which will premiere in spring 2026.
