Rachid Laachir (he/him,1986) maker, performer and designer. He obtained his master’s degree in scenography and costume design from the Royal Academy in Antwerp in 2009. Rachid works as an interdisciplinary artist and performer for several Belgian and European productions and for short, experimental fiction films. He also designs the scenography for numerous theatre performances at home and abroad. In 2018, his work was nominated for the Stella Prize for Best Scenography. Rachid’s performance experience covers a wide range of unexpected forms and domains. He has a strong, radical and visual language, with a focus on the duality between human and natural worlds. In 2023 A Crock of bull at the crack of dawn premiered in Buda, with which he is touring the 23-24 season.
