During the residency at Het Bos, Urtė Groblytė & Judith Dhondt are diving into the first phase of the creation process of DUST, a performance that departs from the question: What does it mean to move – or be moved – outside of ourselves? Through choreography and text, they explore transformation and the multiple self, with loss and desire as their driving forces.

During this first week of creation, they zoom in on several movement sequences from the work. Departing from their manipulation practice, they translate this material into scenes, focusing on the different affects that emerge. In this process, they are joined by Carolina Mendonça and Estefanía Álvarez Ramírez.

In parallel, Sibran Sampers is working on the scenography, bringing the first spatial proposals into the studio.

And so, the world of DUST is slowly taking shape…
