Filosoof Slavoj Žižek stands in a container park He says “When you go to the toilet, shit disappears. You flush it.” But in reality, poop doesn’t just disappear. Nor does our waste disappear. We need to rethink ‘ecology’ and learn to coexist with what we don’t want to see.

Three young theatre-makers therefore look at the world through brown glasses. Starting with the Big Bang, they write a history centred on poop: everything is digestion.

With humour, fun at play and seriousness, they upset the Inconvenient Truth of the gut. Personal embarrassment and global catastrophe. They seek a hopeful, new imagination on how we can deal with our shit.

Lennert, Runa and Egon will work on this performance from autumn 2023 to spring 2024 with an eye on young people and CCs. Several show moments are planned during the process. If you would like to be here, be sure to keep an eye on your mailbox!
