DUST
DUST
“For those who lose their heads…” (Daisy Lafarge, Love bug)
Zooming in on a moment of speechlessness – a moment when language slips into crisis – DUST proposes an imaginary world inhabited by two characters: “Hmm” and “Huh”, who are constantly shapeshifting. Rubbing against language, and being rubbed away by it, they drift off into a space of intimacy and confusion, daring the edges of the self.
Layering choreography and text, DUST explores transformation and multiplicity of self, with loss and desire as its driving forces. Here the performance departs from the question: What does it mean to move, or to be moved, outside of oneself?
